GEAR Groups

LRTC runs on GEAR Groups — an acronym for Get Everything Accelerated and Released. They're the working groups that turn LRTC's mission into action, made up of community members who show up to build the programming, not just attend it, and a Steering Committee member who leads each GEAR. There are three GEARs.

Talent GEAR

Focused on growing and retaining Lafayette's tech workforce — from K-12 outreach and university partnerships to bringing boomerang talent back home.

Meetups & Knowledge Sharing GEAR

Plans and runs LRTC's networking events, meetups, and tech talks — the spaces where the community connects and learns from each other.

Marketing & Outreach GEAR

Promotes Lafayette's tech ecosystem, both within the community and to the outside world — includes amplifying member news and telling the region's tech story.
